Despite having a tough time making it in Hollywood after his days on Home Improvement, Zachery Ty Bryan still credits the sitcom with helping him find work. He’s been in a few TV shows and movies since then, but the former teen heartthrob recently admitted to struggling with alcoholism.
The 39-year-old actor — who played Brad Taylor’s eldest son on the ’90s hit show — was arrested in Oregon on Friday for felony assault. TMZ reports that police responded to a call about a physical dispute at a residence in Eugene. The site adds that Bryan was not at the property when law enforcement arrived, but he was later tracked down, taken to jail and booked.
He pleaded guilty to two felony counts and will serve seven days in prison as part of a plea deal with prosecutors. He was also ordered to participate in a batterer intervention program.

He has been charged with a felony DUI and misdemeanor contempt of court, and he is scheduled to appear in Indio Larson Justice Center on April 23. He is yet to comment on the arrest.
